Marie Laywine - artist statement.

 

 

Marie Laywine is a qualified and state registered art therapist and is a professional artist. She has travelled extensively following the dream and setting up studios across the world.

The use of her dreams as source for her paintings led her to the art therapy course at the University of Hertforshire.

She has lived and worked in Dorset for more than 20 years. Her paintings are known on an international level.

Her experience in art therapy for the past 19 years is extensive and includes work with: children in care, substance abuse, forensic, obsessive compulsive disorder, eating disorders, professional women's group (Canada), creative block, personal development, supervision and private clients.

Marie Laywine takes a special interest in self exploration leading to the creative process and personal enrichment.

Approved by the British Association of Art Therapists for private practice and clinical supervision

On the panel of therapists for the Champernowne Trust

Full membership of the Dorset Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists

Registered with the Health Professions Council
